Live Music Nights
'Oxjam' is a nationwide festival that takes place all over the country. For Northampton we setup Oxjam Northampton to raise funds for Oxfam and highlight local music. Starting off in October 2006, after months of planning we successfully planned nearly 40 events for one month across three towns, Northampton, Daventry and Kettering. To date we have raised nearly 5000 pounds for Oxfam.
'Band Night Thursday' rand every two Thursdays from January 2007 - July 2007. Dozens of bands played these nights with most playing there first gig here before heading onto bigger stages.
'Club Veles' ran every 1st & 3rd Friday of every month between August 2007 - December 2007, and featured bands currently breaking grounds. So far Club Veles has introduced Olly Dabblers, Industrial Salt, The Vision, The Artizans, The Pepper Box and The Click, with each band paving the way to success.
'Fat Cat Acoustic Cafe' ran every Monday between November 2007 - March 2008. A night designed for musicians, a opportunity for you to play regularly. The nights saw dozens of local musicians show there stuff, including No Time Wasters, House Band, The Good The Bad The Beatman, Suzie, Corinne Lucy, Sean Grant, Alex Wesley, Rozism, Chris Start-Up.
'Urban Whispers' was a
night to showcase urban acts. Still in its infancy, more will follow from
this themed night.
